ABOUT THE ROLE

Provide technical support for the controls, instrumentation and selected electrical needs of a growing chemical plant within a stable international chemical company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, configure, troubleshoot and maintain DCS, PLC, HMI, process-historian and network hardware.
• Develop and modify control logic, graphics, alarms, historian tags and operator interfaces.
• Maintain control-system backups, documentation and configuration records.
• Implement control-system upgrades, migrations, patches and hardware replacements.
• Analyze process data and performance to improve control, efficiency, product quality and equipment reliability.
• Support commissioning, startup and optimization of new equipment and control systems.
• Lead root-cause investigations for instrumentation and control-system issues.
• Lead or support controls, instrumentation and electrical capital projects from concept through closeout.
• Develop project scopes, specifications, cost estimates, schedules and equipment requirements.
• Drive maintenance, testing and reliability programs for control and electrical-distribution equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Seven or more years of chemical or refining industry experience.
• Strong DCS, PLC, HMI, process-historian and instrumentation experience.
• Ability to support troubleshooting, projects, commissioning and plant reliability programs.
