Electrical Engineer in Virginia - focus on Electrical Reliability tasks. The client operates a large site and enables you to gain exposure to multiple processes and equipment settings. The location is in a very popular city and the hiring manager already has a training program in place to ensure your success. This position is open due to retirement and the team is prepared to welcome a new engineer on board. The site uses a variety of VFDs, motors, and motor control systems, and having a chemical/petrochemical background is key. Your hiring manager believes in a hands-off, highly autonomous management approach, allowing you to make suggestions, take initiative, and implement sitewide improvements.
There is plenty of capital to support this site and any improvement initiatives you deem necessary. BS in Electrical Engineering preferred but the manager is open to no degree if you have direct experience in a chemical plant with electrical equipment.
