Job Summary:
We are seeking a Plant Project Engineer to support capital and maintenance projects at our client's refinery in the Greater Pittsburgh area. This role is responsible for managing engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet safety, budget, and schedule requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, contractors, and engineering teams to execute projects that enhance refinery efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the execution of capital and maintenance projects to improve plant performance.
Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Manage contractor and vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to project specifications and refinery standards.
Conduct technical evaluations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
Oversee procurement of equipment and materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality compliance.
Provide engineering support during project construction, commissioning, and startup phases.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend solutions for plant reliability and performance issues.
Maintain project documentation, including engineering drawings, technical reports, and progress updates.
