Serve as the main project resource for a small but expanding chemical plant in the Ship Channel Area. You will oversee medium to large projects from start to finish.
- Manage project approvals, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Prepare the engineering designs and project specifications
- Review and approve project drawings, flow sheets, isometrics, P&IDs
- Develops Request for Proposal packages with appropriate selection criteria and metrics
- Facilitate project safety during the construction phases
- Oversees contractor project activities
- Monitor project progress and performance against plans and resolve operational problems and delays
- Collaborates with other site engineers and resources to leverage specialists
- Manage and communicate project risk
- Lead and participate in MOC process, safety reviews, pre-startup safety reviews
- Responsible for maintaining project documentation, project close out and documentation turnover to operations and maintenance
