Provide a high level of process engineering expertise to upgrade, optimize and expand chemical plant units utilizing a partial oxidation process. This process is fundamental to the site and impacts many of the units on the site. The company's may build part of its strategic carbon reduction process around this technology giving it an impact on the entire company and not just this site. You will work closely with a proven manager who is called upon to make strategic long-term improvements to an area of plant that needs help. You will be the Process Expert on this technology, and you will be part of a 7 Engineer multi-discipline team.
- Utilize 100 million in capital the company has set aside to upgrade this process
- Evaluate adding a 4th production line to the site
- Examine this process technology for carbon reduction strategies
- Optimize burner combustion with oxygen and natural gas mix
- Optimize and troubleshoot high temp and pressure processes
- Analyze and resolve complex process issues in P.O.X. or POX technology area
- Develop strategic process improvement projects
- Manage capital and expense projects
